Update: Teen arrested for armed robbery at a Rochester park

A teenager was arrested Thursday night for allegedly robbing two boys, ages 12 and 15, at gunpoint earlier this week at a southeast Rochester park.

The incident happened Wednesday around 9 p.m. at Joyce Park. According to a police report, the teen suspect approached the two boys and demanded they empty their pockets. He was holding a BB gun at the time.

The suspect, who was accompanied by a female, took an iPhone from one boy and an iPod from the other, notes the report. He then told them to leave the park. Both individuals were unknown to the two victims.

The suspect is just 14 years old, according to police. He is now in custody facing a 1st-degree aggravated robbery charge.
