Man reportedly shot in the face with a BB gun in downtown alley

(THE MED CITY BEAT) - A man told police he was shot in the face with a BB gun Saturday night in downtown Rochester.

The Post-Bulletin reports a 22-year-old Chatfield man told police he was walking in the alley behind Kathy's Pub when a car drove by and shot at him.  Officers said the man had a missing tooth and two "round, pellet-sized wounds" on his face, the paper notes.

Police told KAAL-TV the "very intoxicated" man was released into "the care of his mother." He was unable to provide police with any description of the vehicle that shot at him.

It's the second report this year of an assault behind Kathy's Pub. A man told police he was standing in the alley on Jan. 16 when a man he didn't know came out of the pub and punched him in the face two times.
