Shots fired into Rochester apartment in 'random' drive-by shooting

(THE MED CITY BEAT) - Two shots were fired into an apartment in northwest Rochester early Friday morning.

Police responded to Essex Park Apartments in the 1100 block of 41st Street NW just after 12:30 a.m. to a report of a shooting. KIMT-TV reports officers found two bullets that had been fired through a bedroom window. 

Two teens, ages 13 and 16, were sleeping inside the bedroom but were not injured, according to a report by KTTC-TV.

Police tell the Post-Bulletin the shooting appears to have been random. 

KAAL-TV reports witnesses saw a red or burgundy vehicle near the apartment at the time of the shooting.
