Man arrested for trying to lure undercover officer to be his prostitute
(THE MED CITY BEAT) - A man was arrested this week for trying to convince an undercover cop in Rochester to come up to the Twin Cities to be his prostitute.
Christopher Perry, 36, of Brooklyn Park faces charges of promoting and soliciting prostitution. KTTC-TV reports Perry told the officer, posing online as an 18-year-old woman, to take a bus to Minneapolis where he could be her pimp.
He was arrested Thursday evening when he showed up to the bus station, notes a report by KROC-AM.
The Rochester Street Crimes coordinated with Minneapolis police to make the sting. KAAL-TV reports Perry is being held in the Olmsted County Jail.
The arrest comes about a month after an alleged pimp from the Twin Cities was charged in federal court for kidnapping a 12-year-old Rochester girl and trying to make her his prostitute. The incident happened in 2013.
