New surveillance photos from last week's armed robberies in Rochester
(THE MED CITY BEAT) - Authorities are looking for two suspects following a pair of robberies at a southeast Rochester apartment complex Friday night.
The robberies happened around 10 p.m. at the Bear Creek Family Apartments in the 1400 block of Marion Road SE.
Two black men with their faces covered forced their way into the first apartment by threatening a woman with a gun and knife, according to police. They also forced the victim to open the apartment of a second woman.
Stolen items included: cash, cell phones, rings and other jewelry.
Once the suspects collected the belongings, they forced the families into one room. They threatened to kill them if they moved, police said.
The victims were two middle-aged women, a teenager and three children, all about 10 years old.
No arrests have been made. Police offered these descriptions of the men:
- Suspect #1: Tall, thin black man wearing skateboard shoes, a black sweatshirt and a face mask
- Suspect #2: Black, lighter skinned than Suspect #1, pimples, a windbreaker and Nike shoes
The surveillance images obtained by police are poor quality. However, investigators are hoping someone may able to identify the suspects by their clothing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Rochester & Olmsted County at 1-800-222-TIPS. You can remain anonymous.
