Police: Young child lived in home where cocaine, meth was sold

(THE MED CITY BEAT) - Two people were arrested Friday morning following a successful narcotics raid in northwest Rochester.

Authorities found the following items while searching a home in the 3200 block of Highway 52 North:

  • 21.5 grams of meth ($2,500 value)
  • 25 grams of cocaine ($3,100 value)
  • 102 grams of marijuana ($1,400 value)
  • $1,000 in cash
  • Loaded 9mm handgun

Derek Cobb, 29, and Sarah Walsh, 22, face a number of charges related to the possession and sale of drugs. They also face felony child endangerment charges because a four-year-old child was living in the home.

The child was found leaning up against a backpack that contained the gun, authorities said Monday. He has since been placed in the custody of a relative.

Cobb was also arrested in late October in connection to an incident in Stewartville. The person he was with, 26-year-old Blake Perry, had 20.8 grams of meth in his possession at the time of the arrest.
