Police: Two men arrested were part of a 'bad crew'

(THE MED CITY BEAT) - The Rochester Police Department's Street Crimes Unit has arrested two men involved in a "bad crew."

Ali Gombo, 18, and Dowar Agoth, 20, were arrested Tuesday outside a Kwik Trip in the 2100 block of Second Street SW. Police were initially after Gombo, who had a warrant out for his arrest.

But when officers approached the vehicle, they smelled marijuana. That prompted a search of the vehicle which turned up about 60 grams of pot, a felony amount.

Officers found a loaded .45 caliber handgun in Agoth's pocket during a pat-down. Agoth, who has a prior conviction for illegal possession of a firearm, faces two felony-level weapons charges.

Both men face charges for possessing marijuana and violating their parole.
