Minor injuries reported following school bus crash in NW Rochester

Minor injuries reported following school bus crash in NW Rochester

(THE MED CITY BEAT) - Two children were transported to a Rochester hospital Friday morning after their school bus was struck by a vehicle.

The injuries appear to be minor and the students were only taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to the fire department.

The broadside collision happened around 7 a.m. at the intersection of 18th Avenue NW and 55th Street NW. The driver of the car struck the miniature bus after running a red light, fire officials said.

The drivers of the bus and the car both refused medical care. It's unclear how many students were on the bus at the time of the crash.

The Rochester Police Department will investigate the incident.
