Two homes damaged by drive-by shooting in NW Rochester

Two homes damaged by drive-by shooting in NW Rochester

(THE MED CITY BEAT) - Bullets struck two homes in northwest Rochester early Sunday morning — including a "troubled" home that has been the site of numerous police visits over the past year.

The shooting in the 3000 block of Oxford Lane NW was reported to police just before 3 a.m. One window was completely shot out, while the other had four separate bullet marks.

Both homes were occupied at the time, though no one was injured.

Police believe only one of the homes was targeted. That house is well known to local law enforcement, and has been "associated with criminal activity in the past," said Capt. John Sherwin of the Rochester Police Department.
