Rochester man sentenced to 12 years in prison for sex crime

(THE MED CITY BEAT) - A Rochester man was sentenced this week to 12 years in prison following a guilty plea for criminal sexual conduct.

Dean Winslade, 38, was charged last year with felony first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a girl under 16. According to court records, two other charges were dropped in exchange for the plea agreement.

The conduct was first reported to police in January 2014. The victim told investigators that the contact began as touching but turned into sexual penetration over the course of several weeks.

According to the criminal complaint, Winslade later admitted to the contact.

Winslade will receive credit for 129 days served. He will be eligible for a conditional release following a minimum confinement period of 10 years.
