Rochester man arrested for confronting his neighbor with a handgun
A man was arrested Tuesday night after he confronted a neighbor while in possession of a handgun, according to Rochester police.
Kyle Frey, 29, faces two gross misdemeanor charges for possessing a firearm without a permit and for carrying the weapon while under the influence.
Authorities say Frey arrived home and began yelling at group of kids outside for "unknown reasons." The children ranged in age from four to 17.
Frey then began to drink heavily inside his house, located in the 2900 block of 22nd Street SE. According to police, he then grabbed a firearm and walked over to a nearby home to confront the children's father.
The father noticed the handgun tucked inside Frey's pocket and called police. There's no indication that Frey ever pointed the gun at the father.
When police asked Frey what the children were doing to make him angry, he was unable to provide a reason.
