Authorities identify man who fell from railing outside downtown bar

Update #2: A man was critically injured over the weekend after falling off the patio of Legends bar in downtown Rochester.

The incident was reported just before 11 p.m. Friday. Witnesses say the man was trying to do a handstand on the balcony's railing before falling 15 feet onto a concrete bike path.

The man, identified as 33-year-old Dustin Richards of Farmington, landed directly on his head, according to police. He suffered several broken bones, as well as a temporal fracture.

Richards was unconscious at the time he arrived at the hospital. There is no further update on his condition.
