Teen allegedly beaten and robbed by a group of men in Rochester

A male teen was beaten and robbed by a group of men Friday night, according to a police report.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. in the 4600 block of 14th Avenue NW. Police say the teen was hanging out in the street when the suspects drove up and confronted him.

The teen suffered minor injuries to his arms and hips. He declined medical treatment.

Police say the suspects took off with the teen's iPhone. There were as many eight people in the vehicle, many of whom the victim knew beforehand.

In related news: there was an attempted robbery Saturday afternoon at Casey's General Store in northwest Rochester and a burglary arrest that same evening at the Labor Ready employment office.
