Three arrested following drug bust near children's facility in Rochester
Authorities arrested three people Monday morning after executing a search warrant on the east side of Rochester.
The investigation dates back to last month when undercover officers started purchasing crack cocaine from 48-year-old Angela Saffold. According to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Saffold sold them about 5.8 grams of crack ($600 value) in that time.
During the investigation, authorities became aware of several other suspects. Two of them, 31-year-old Justen Fleeker and 30-year-old Sara Heng, were arrested along with Saffold on Monday.
The search warrant was carried out around 11 a.m. at an apartment complex on East Center Street, near the Boys and Girls Club. Authorities say the building's proximity to children made the case a high priority.
Fleeker was busted with 20 grams of methamphetamine ($2,000 value), according the sheriff's office. Both Fleeker and Saffold face felony drug charges for sales and possession.
Heng faces two felony charges for violating the terms of his probation, plus another for possession of an amphetamine. He also faces a misdemeanor for having an assault weapon with a prior drug conviction. Authorities say he was in possessions of a BB gun.
