Man tells police he was robbed in the bathroom of a local Dollar Tree

An Iowa man told police he was robbed Sunday afternoon while trying to use the restroom at a discount store in Rochester.

The incident was reported around 4:40 p.m. at the Dollar Tree in the Crossroads Shopping Center. According to the police report, the victim entered a single-stall bathroom while another man was still washing his hands.

The man then pinned the victim's hands to his side, while a second man came in and began rummaging through the victim's pockets, notes the report.

The victim told police that he tried to grab a folding knife out of his pocket, but the suspects knocked it out of his hands. They fled the scene with only the knife.

The two suspects are described as black males in their early 20s. One was approximately 6'3'', while the other was about 5'9". The incident remains under investigation.
