Update: Victims of Monday's shooting identified; suspect remains at large
One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting Monday afternoon at a mobile home park in southeast Rochester.
Officers responded to Parkside Mobile Home Park just after 2 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the neighborhood.
When they arrived on the scene, they found Trumane Gillmore, 22 of Rochester, deceased and Demonterious Jackson, 20 of Rochester, injured with a gunshot wound to the leg and graze wound to the chest.
Police later learned a third victim, Jerome Zachary, 18 of Chicago, suffered a graze wound to his upper body. Both Zachary and Jackson are expected to be OK.
A number of people, including several children, witnessed the shooting. However, no one else appears to have been injured. Longfellow Elementary School, located across the street from the shooting scene, was placed on lockdown for about an hour.
Police say the suspect is a Hispanic male, about 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a white T-shirt, dark jeans and a red bandanna over his face. Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers of Rochester & Olmsted County at 1-800-222-TIPS.
