Police investigating shots fired Friday night in SE Rochester

The Rochester Police Department is investigating reports of shots fired Friday night near University Center Rochester (RCTC).

Officers responded to the 800 block of 21st Avenue SE around 9:30 p.m. after several callers reported hearing "multiple" gunshots.

Witnesses described the alleged gunman as a black male with dreadlocks. Two vehicles, one green and the other white, were seen fleeing the area after the shots went off.

Six shell casings, believed to be from a handgun, were found on the road.

No one has been taken into custody. An investigation into the incident is ongoing,
