The Commission finds a permanent home for its monthly Think Tank series
"Getting involved in the school system at all levels is very important to the Commission," said Sunny Prabhakar, the group's president. "We look forward to inviting college students to join us in our events and to also get insight from higher ed professionals on how we can better serve the community. This is a perfect alignment of common goals and vision coming together."
The Commission's Think Tank series, now in its second year, aims to "provide a space for motivated young professionals to learn from community leaders and foster personal and professional development, mentorship, and relationship building," says a news release.
The Commission invites speakers each month to share their story and enter into dialogue with young professionals in a casual and open setting.
The inaugural Think Tank Series event marking the new partnership between the two organizations will feature Patrick Seeb, director of economic development and placemaking for Destination Medical Center.

Seeb’s presentation will be on “Becoming an Urban Change Agent." The event is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m on the third floor of the Shops at University Square (UMR's campus). The event is free and open to the public.
