Reader feedback: 'Keep pressing the movers and shakers of this city'

Reader feedback: 'Keep pressing the movers and shakers of this city'

I just want to share a note that I recently received from a reader. It's feedback like this that keeps me going through the ups and downs of running a business!

I just wanted to say kudos to you for not only finding a space in this ultra conservative community for 3rd-party, largely unbiased news reporting. Your latest article on Bard further emphasizes that point.

In my opinion this community has struggled to report news (especially bad news) seemingly out of fear of community backlash and that's not the way I was taught at J-school. News is still news even if it has the potential to hurt people's feelings so the true craft of the profession is to be able to convey that news in a way that makes it palatable and your writing and website strike a wonderful balance in accomplishing that goal. Additionally your stories are timely, captivating and seem to include multiple sources which helps paint a truer picture of what is being reported.

Your news website has been a truly welcome addition to the media outlets in this community, and I hope you can continue to grow and build credibility. Obviously this is a quickly changing and growing community, and with large investments of both public and private funds being poured into this city, I firmly believe now more than ever we are better served with a legitimate 4th Estate to represent the issues fairly.

Thank you once again for your seeing opportunity and running with it and please, please, please keep pressing the movers and shakers of this city to be honest and fair with us.
