Lourdes provides the backdrop for Owl City's latest music video

Lourdes provides the backdrop for Owl City's latest music video

Is that Lourdes High School in the background?!

That was reaction for some on social media this week after seeing the music video for Owl City's new single, "All My Friends." The Minnesota native, turned platinum-selling artist, used the local high school as the backdrop for the opening of the video.

Owl City, aka Adam Young, is best known for songs such as his breakout track, "Fireflies," and "Good Time," a collaboration with pop star Carly Rae Jepsen that reached No. 4 on U.S. charts.

Combined, those two songs have been streamed more than 500 million times on YouTube — an impressive accomplishment for a musician who got his start by uploading songs to MySpace from his parents' farmhouse in Owatonna, a rural community located about 45 minutes west of Rochester.

"All My Friends" is the first track off of Owl City's forthcoming album, Cinematic. On his website, Young says the song "is about the rare relationships in life — the friendships you’ll never forget — and you can watch that meaning come to life in this music video."

You can watch the entire music video below.
