Public can still submit comments to Rochester City Council via email

The Rochester City Council will continue to accept public comments in the coming weeks — though all input will need to be submitted electronically.

City administration said Thursday that public comments for meetings in April and May can be submitted via the email addresses below.

Comments received by the Thursday prior to the meeting will be included in the council meeting packets. Comments submitted after Thursday but prior to the start of the meeting will be read aloud at the meeting.

Administration is also asking the public to view the council meetings remotely via broadcast (channels 180 and 188) or online streaming.

That is because, while the meetings will continue to be held at City Hall, the city is limiting the number of people who can be in the council chambers to 10 at one time. (Media is still allowed to attend in-person, but must adhere to the six-foot social distancing requirement.)

Some council members have already been participating by phone, a practice that is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.

The four regular council meetings for April and May have been moved from their normal 7 p.m. time slot to 3:30 p.m. All council study sessions have been suspended until further notice.
