Forager rolls out new farm-to-table concept in its pop-up kitchen space

A new twist to the popular farm-to-table restaurant concept is coming to Forager Brewery this month. Each Thursday evening starting May 12, HARVEST will take over the pop-up restaurant space and treat guests to a five-course meal and a lesson about local agriculture.

Each edition of HARVEST will feature a different local farm. For instance, the dinner on May 12 will include lamb from Stone House Farms, May 19 will include pork from Hidden Stream Farm and May 26 will include grass-fed beef from Four Sisters Farm.

The proprietor will attend the respective meal where his or her ingredients are served and share with guests about their operations and their thoughts on local, sustainable food. "A big part of this is connecting people to the food that they eat," said Jordan Bell, the executive chef at Forager.

The actual menus will vary based on what's available and Bell's whims that week. "I don't know the menu until the Wednesday before," he said. "You could come to every HARVEST and have a different plate each time."

Tickets are required and are $25 per person. Beer flights are $15 and cocktail flights are $25; both options include a fresh brew or handcrafted cocktail with each course and can be purchased at the start of the meal.
