PedalPub ending operations in Rochester after the 2015 season

Bad news for drinkers who like to stay fit: PedalPub announced on Thursday that it will end operations in Rochester after the 2015 season.

The business first launched in Rochester in April of 2013 as an expansion of PedalPub Twin Cities. The 16-person bicycle was a popular attraction downtown for its first two summers, but struggled to fill seats in 2015.

“We have been pleased to have been a part of Rochester’s vibrant community culture for the past few years,” Al Boyce, managing partner for PedalPub, said in a news release.  “We would like to thank everyone who supported us by scheduling a ride on PedalPub Rochester.”

PedalPub Twin Cities, which operates ten bikes in the metro, will not be affected by this closing. The Rochester attraction will continue to take reservations through Nov. 15.
