Vigil held in Rochester for victims of Charleston church shooting

Vigil held in Rochester for victims of Charleston church shooting

A prayer vigil will be held Friday night in Rochester to honor the victims of this week's deadly shooting in a South Carolina church.

The vigil will begin at 7 p.m. at Rochester Community Baptist Church (1048 6th Avenue SE). Other faith and community leaders are expected to attend.

Organizers say the event will provide a chance for collective community prayer for the families and loved ones of the victims. People of any faith or religion are encouraged to attend.
