Chipotle competitor, Pancheros, set to open first Rochester location

Chipotle has a new challenger in northwest Rochester.

The fast-casual, Tex-Mex restaurant chain Pancheros is set to open its first Rochester location on Tuesday, April 25. The building, formerly a Burger King, is located at 4107 Highway 52. (That's less than a mile away from Chipotle's north location.)

The Coralville, Iowa-based company has more than 60 locations across the U.S., including a handful in the Twin Cites metro.

Pancheros serves up burritos, tacos, quesadillas, burrito bowls and salads. It is known for its original salsas, queso dips and guacamole, all of which are made on site daily.

For updates, you can follow the restaurant on Facebook.
