Let's get Manasa to the Super Bowl

Let's get Manasa to the Super Bowl

Manasa — a seventh grader at Friedell Middle School — is one step away from representing the Med City at Super Bowl LII.

The Rochester student is one of three finalists competing to be the NFL Play 60 Super Kid. The winner will receive a "one-of-a-kind Super Bowl gameday experience" that includes the opportunity to go on the field and present the game ball to an NFL official.

Manasa, a Packers fan, entered the contest by submitting a video demonstrating her commitment to getting active for 60 minutes a day. At Friedell, Manasa helps lead events for the Fuel Up to Play 60 program, most recently organizing her school's upcoming color run and implementing new physical activity stations.

Outside of the classroom, she plays tennis, football, badminton and basketball. According to her bio, she also participates on the high school — yes, high school — debate team as a middle schooler.

Of course, if Manasa comes out on top, she won't have to travel far this year. The Super Bowl is scheduled for Feb. 4, 2018 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
