Dessa returning to Rochester

Dessa returning to Rochester

Dessa is bringing her brilliance back to Rochester.

Today My Town My Music announced that Dessa will perform April 4 at the Rochester Art Center. This will be the Minneapolis songwriter's second Med City show in an as many years. She brought the crowd to their feet last summer at Down by the Riverside (photo above from that show).

Concert-goers can expect Dessa — who in addition to a singer is also an accomplished writer and spoken word artist — to be playing material off her forthcoming album, Chime. The full length-album, Dessa's third, has been listed by NPR as one of 2018’s most anticipated albums.

(She dropped a music video for a new single today.)

The Rochester stop is part of a world tour that includes performances in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Tickets for the all-ages show are $18 in advance; $20 the day of the show. More info on the event can be found here.

Chicago-based MONAKR will open for Dessa in Rochester.
